Pratt, Zadock b. October 30, 1790 d. April 5, 1871 US Congressman. Pratt built a leather tannery larger than any other in the world at the time and also founded the town Prattsville, New York. He was Justice of the Peace in 1824, supervisor of the town of Windham in 1827 and member of the State Senate in 1830. He was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-fifth Congress, serving 1837 to 1839 and elected to the Twenty-eighth Congress, serving 1843 to 1845.
