Boyd, Adam b. March 21, 1746 d. August 15, 1835 US Congressman. He served with the Bergen County board of freeholders and justices in 1773, 1784, 1791, 1794, and 1798. He was the sheriff of Bergen County from 1778 to 1781 and then again in 1789. He was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for five terms and judge on Bergen County's Court of Common Pleas from 1803 to 1805. Poor, Enoch b. June 21, 1736 d. September 8, 1780 Revolutionary War Continental Army Brigadier General. Although he supposedly died of disease, there is historical speculation that General Poor died in a duel. His funeral was attended by Generals George Washington and the Marquis de Layafette. Varick, Richard b. March 25, 1753 d. July 30, 1831 Revolutionary War Continental Army Officer, New York City Mayor. Served in the Revolutionary War as private secretary and Aide-de-Camp to George Washington from 1781 to 1783. Prior to that, he was an aide to Benedict Arnold at the time when Arnold tried to turn over West Point to the British.
