Coe, Kelvin b. September 18, 1946 d. July 9, 1992 Ballet Dancer. The first male dancer to rise through the ranks of the Australian Ballet from a junior dancer to principal. Grady, Thomas b. September 18, 1831 d. May 18, 1891 Crimean War Victoria Cross Recipient. Grady was born in Cheddah, Galway, and enlisted in the British 99th Foot in 1853 at a time when the regiment had been serving in Australia since 1842 but instead of joining the regiment in New South Wales he transferred to the 4th Regiment in February 1854. Mather, Emily b. 1864 d. 1891 Folk Figure. She married Frederick Bailey Deeming in Liverpool, on September 22, 1891. They moved to Australia, and he murdered her in Windsor, Melbourne, by slitting her throat and hiding her body under the floorboards of their house. The bodies of Deeming's first wife and children were eventually discovered under the fireplace of their villa in England. Deeming was convicted and hanged for Emily Mather's murder.
