Bochsa, Nicolas b. August 9, 1789 d. January 6, 1856 Harpist, Composer. One of the foremost 19th Century masters of the harp, he greatly expanded its technical and expressive range. He was also a talented composer, but his accomplishments have been overshadowed by his eccentric and scandal-tainted life.
