Rayfield, Walter Leigh b. October 7, 1881 d. February 19, 1949 World War I Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Private in the 7th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. On September 2, 1918, at the Battle of Arras, France, his battalion was held down under heavy fire from German positions. Richardson, George b. August 1, 1831 d. January 28, 1923 Indian Mutiny Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Private in the 34th Regiment, British Army. At Kewane Trans-Gorga, India, April 27, 1859, Private Richardson, although severely wounded in one arm, closed with and secured an armed rebel sepoy.
