Tupper, Sir. Charles b. July 2, 1821 d. October 30, 1915 6th Canada Prime Minister. Served as Prime Minister of Canada from 1896 to 1896 as a Conservative from Nova Scotia. Served the shortest term in Canadian history, only 69 days, following Sir Mackenzie Bowell's ouster by the cabinet. He was the Canadian High Commissioner to Great Britain from 1884 to 1887, and from 1888 to 1896, a member of the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia from 1855 to 1867, and Premier of colonial Nova Scotia.
