Louis II Holy Roman Emperor. Reigned as the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire from 855 to 875. He was the eldest son of the Emperor Lothair I. He became King of Italy in 839 and was crowned in Rome by Pope Sergius II on June 15, 844.
