Fort, Paul b. February 1, 1872 d. April 20, 1960 Poet. Born in Reims, France, he was a student attending the Lycee Louis le grand in Paris, when he founded the symbolist Théâtre d' Art in 1890. He founded the review Vers et Prose in 1905, serving as editor through 1914. By 1912 his influence among symbolists and the avantgarde was so strong that he was bestowed the title "Prince of the Poets" by a peer.
