Abbott, Sir. James b. March 12, 1807 d. October 6, 1896 British Military Figure. His actions led to the outbreak of the 2nd Anglo-Sikh War. He trained at the military college of the East India Company at Addiscombe, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Bengal artillery in 1823.
