Harrison, Wilbert b. January 5, 1929 d. October 26, 1994 R&B Singer. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1929, his childhood was filled with country and gospel music. In 1950, just out of the army and living in Miami, Florida, Harrison began performing in a calypso-based style.
