Boon, Hugh Patterson b. July 24, 1834 d. January 14, 1908 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served in the Civil War as Captain and comander of Company B, 1st West Virginia Volunteer Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at the Battle of Sailors Creek, Virginia on April 6, 1865.
