Armstrong, Joseph Gray b. February 2, 1867 d. November 19, 1931 Mayor of Pittsburgh. Born in Old Allegheny, Pennsylvania, he was a glassmaker by trade and active in the early labor movement. His union connections got him seated on Pittsburgh's City Council in the late 1890s and he was elected County Coroner in 1904. He served as the Mayor of Pittsburgh from 1914 to 1918. Barchfeld, Andrew Jackson b. May 18, 1863 d. January 28, 1922 US Congressman. He was elected to represent Pennsylvania's 32nd District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1905 to 1917. Patterson, John Williams b. May 4, 1835 d. May 5, 1864 Civil War Union Army Officer. He served during the Civil War as Colonel and commander of the 102nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Trautman, Jacob b. 1840 d. November 7, 1898 Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was a First Sergeant in the United States Army in Company I, 7th US Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on December 29, 1890 at Wounded Knee Creek, South Dakota. His citation reads "Killed a hostile Indian at close quarters, and, although entitled to retirement from service, remained to the close of the campaign."
