Armour, William Clark 'Bill' b. September 3, 1866 d. December 2, 1922 Major League Baseball Manager. Managed in the Major Leagues from 1902 to 1906 with the Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers. In 736 Games Managed he had a record of 382 Wins and 347 Losses. He was the Tiger's manager when future Baseball great Ty Cobb was brought up in 1905. Posey, Cumberland Willis b. 1880 d. March 28, 1946 The college educated Cum Posey was the resourceful organizer and co-owner of the Homestead Grays baseball team. The Grays were located in the mill town of Homestead, PA just southwest of Pittsburgh. Posey's Homestead Grays remain one of the great dynasties in sports history fielding powerhouse teams in the 1920s, the early 1930s, and from 1937-45 winning nine straight Negro national League pennants.
