Partridge, Benjamin Franklin b. April 19, 1822 d. September 19, 1892 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. When the Civil War broke out he resigned his position as county sheriff and enlisted in the First Michigan Lancers. When the lancers were disbanded, he was commissioned a 1st Lieutenant in Company I, 16th Michigan Volunteer Infantry.
