Bishop, Daniel b. 1845 d. May 23, 1891 Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army in Company A, 5th U.S. Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on March 25, 1873 at Turret Mountain, Arizona Territory. His citation reads "Gallantry in engagements." Cowen, Gen. Benjamin Rush b. August 15, 1831 d. January 19, 1908 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General, Politician, State Court Clerk. Born in Moorefield, Ohio, he was educated at the St. Clairsville Academy and apprenticed as a typesetter with the Belmont Chronicle. He eventually became the owner and editor of the paper until 1858. Hoge, George Washington b. 1832 d. November 26, 1909 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. In September 1862, he joined the 126th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry at Camp Steubenville, Ohio and was commissioned Captain of Company B. He participated at the Battle of Cedar Creek, the Campaigns in North Alabama and middle Tennessee.
