Dove, Robert L. 'Bob' b. February 21, 1921 d. April 19, 2006 Professional Football Player. A two time college All-American graduate of Notre Dame University, he went on to a successful National Football League career playing for the Chicago Cardinals from 1948 to 1953 and playing on the Detroit Lions championship teams of 1953 and 1954. In 1942 the defensive lineman won the Knute Rockne Award given to the nation's best college lineman. He was selected to play in the NFL's first All Pro game in 1951.
