Packer, Alfred b. January 21, 1842 d. April 23, 1907 American Folk Figure. Known as the "The Colorado Cannibal." His name is often misspelled as "Alferd," an error that stems from his own illiteracy. His victims were Frank "Butcher" Miller, Israel Swann, James Humphreys, George Noon, and Shannon Wilson Bell.
