Corker, Stephen Alfestus b. May 7, 1830 d. October 18, 1879 U.S. Congressman. He studied law, was admitted to the bar, commenced practice law in Waynesboro, Georgia and also engaged in agricultural pursuits. During the Civil War, he served as Captain of Company A, 3rd Georgia Regiment, Confederate Army. After the war, he practiced law and was a member of the Georgia State House of Representatives.
