Hostetler, Chuck (Charles Cloyd) b. September 22, 1903 d. February 18, 1971 Major League Baseball Player. His major league debut was with the Detroit Tigers as a rightfielder on April 18, 1944. He is best remembered as being the baseball's oldest rookie as he was 40 years old at the time of his debut.
