  Major League Baseball Player. For four seasons (1954 to 1957), he was a pitcher with the Washington Senators, Philadelphia/Kansas City Athletics and New York Yankees. Born John Craig Dixon, Jr., he was signed as an amateur free agent by the Washington Senators in 1941 and following service with the US Navy during World War II, he embarked on his journey through the Minor Leagues.
