Thomas, John b. November 9, 1724 d. June 2, 1776 Revolutionary War General. He studied medicine with local doctors and became a physician, first in Marshfield and later in Kingston. Thomas was a Kingston Town Selectman from 1763 to 1775 and Town Clerk from 1764 to 1766. In 1746 he was commissioned a Surgeon in the colonial militia.
