Bertrand, Jean-Jacques b. June 20, 1916 d. February 22, 1973 Premier of Quebec. A native of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, Bertrand studied law at the University of Montreal before he was admitted to the bar in 1941. A member of the Union Nationale Party, he was elected to Quebec's Legislative Assembly in 1948 representing the Missisquoi district, a post he held until his death in 1973.
