Browne, Charles b. September 28, 1875 d. August 17, 1947 US Congressman. A physician and a 1900 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, he was elected as a Democrat to represent New Jersey's 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1923 to 1925. He also served as a Member of the New Jersey State Legislature in 1937, and Mayor of Princeton, New Jersey, in 1914. During World War I he served as a Captain in the United States Army Medical Corps.
