Reid, Mike b. January 19, 1940 d. July 20, 2007 Actor, Comedian. He is best remembered for playing 'Frank Butcher' in the British Broadcasting Corporation television soap opera, "Eastenders" and hosting the children's television show, "Runaround. Born in Hackney, an East London suburb during World War II, he attended Rowland Hill School, before pursuing a career as a stand-up comedian. He became one of the original stars of "The Comedians", a popular television series of the 1970s.
