  Rock Musician. Bass player for the British group Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). He was born Michael William Groucutt in Coseley, Staffordshire, England. After playing in several bands including the group Sight and Sound, he joined ELO (which formed in Birmingham during the early-1970s) in 1974.
