Wright, Turbutt b. February 5, 1741 d. 1783 Continental Congressman. He was a farmer on the Wright family plantation, "White Marsh." Wright was a member of Maryland's colonial Assembly from 1773 to 1774. In 1775 he was a founder of Maryland's Association of Freemen, an early Patriot organization. In 1776 he was a member of the convention that enacted Maryland's first post-colonial constitution.
