Quigg, Sgt. Robert b. February 28, 1885 d. May 14, 1955 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient. He was awarded the VC for his actions at the Battle of the Somme. From his London Gazette citation: "On 1 July 1916 at Hamel, France, Rifleman Quigg advanced to the assault with his platoon three times.
