Ardoin, Alphonse b. November 16, 1915 d. May 16, 2007 Musician. As an accordionist, he was a major influence on the development of both Cajun and Zydeco music. His album "La Musique Creole," was the first ever recorded by an African American Cajun band. From the 1960s to the 1990s, Bois Sec with duo partner fiddler Canray Fontenot, became legendary for authentic Creole music.
