Tanumafili II., Malietoa b. January 4, 1913 d. May 11, 2007 King of Samoa. He served as the King of Samoa from 1962 to 2007, being one of the world's longest serving and oldest heads of state at the time of his death. He was educated in Auckland, New Zealand and when Samoa gained her independence in 1962 His Highness became co-head of state with Tupua Tamasese Mea'ole.
