Napier, Charles James b. August 10, 1782 d. August 29, 1853 British General, Statesman. Known as "The Conqueror of Sind", he was cousin to Admiral Sir Charles. He joined the army when he was 13 years old and was many times wounded in different actions. In 1841 he was sent to India.
