Allen, Willis b. December 6, 1806 d. April 15, 1859 US Congressman. Elected as a Democrat to represent Illinois' 2nd and 9th Districts in the Thirty-Second and Thirty-Third Congresses, he served from 1851 to 1855. Allen was born in Roanoke, Virginia, and worked as a farmer in Tennessee before moving to Franklin (now Williamson) County, Illinois in 1830. There he studied law and became a practicing attorney in Marion.
