Zheng, Chenggong b. 1624 d. 1662 Military Leader. Popularly known as Koxinga, he was a Ming loyalist and anti-Qing rebel commander during the Qing Dynasty's conquest of the Ming. He was born in Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, to a Chinese father and a Japanese mother. He studied at Imperial Nanking University, China's principal college during the Ming Dynasty.
