Wallace, Samuel Thomas Dickson b. March 7, 1892 d. February 2, 1968 World War I British Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He was a Scottish volunteer, serving as a Lieutenant in C Battery 63rd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. At Gonnelieu France, on November 20, 1917, his battery was reduced to five and were surrounded by German infantry during an attack. He continued firing his guns by swinging the trails close together, with the men running and loading from gun to gun.
