Madden, Martin Barnaby b. March 21, 1855 d. April 27, 1928 U.S. Congressman. Born in Wolviston, England, he moved to Chicago with his parents in 1860. He graduated from Bryant and Stratton Business College and was a successful corporate and trade association executive. Madden served on the Chicago City Council from 1889 to 1897, including two years as council president, and was chairman of the Chicago Republican committee from 1890 to 1896.
