Huq, Abul Kashem Fazul b. October 26, 1873 d. April 27, 1962 Bengali Statesman. He was known as "The Tiger Of Bengal." He served as the Mayor of Calcutta, India, in 1935, Chief Minister of Undivided Bengal from 1937 to 1943, Chief Minister of East Bengal in 1954, Prime Minister of Pakistan in 1955, and the Governor of East Pakistan from 1956 to 1958. Huq was also known for his 1940 Lahore Resolution that helped establish the Muslim League's demand for a homeland for Muslims, which resulted in the nation of Pakistan. Nazimuddin, Khawaja b. 1894 d. 1964 Pakistani Prime Minister. A native of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Nazimuddin served as Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1951 to 1953. He also served as the Governor General of Pakistan from 1948 to 1951. The Nazimabad and North Nazimabad suburbs of Karachi, Pakistan, were named in his honour.
