Finch Hatton, Denys George b. April 24, 1887 d. May 14, 1931 Folk Figure. He is best remembered for his relationship with the writer Isak Dinesen. His role was played by Robert Redford in the film "Out of Africa." He worked leading safaris for wealthy sportsmen in Kenya. He died in a plane crash. According his wishes, he was buried in Kenya. As his epitaph, Dinesen chose a Greek verse:"Though in death fire be mixed with my dust, yet care I not, for with me now all is well."
