Squanto [memorial] b. 1590 d. November, 1622 Folk Figure. Born to the Patuxet people of the Wampanoag Confederation, he was called Tisquantum. Little is know about him until 1605 when George Weymouth sailed to what is present day New England on a survey expedition.
