Bibb, William Wyatt b. October 2, 1781 d. July 10, 1820 US Congressman, Alabama Governor. He was elected to represent Georgia, in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1806 to 1816. Appointed Governor of the Alabama Territory, he was subsequently elected first Governor of the state in 1819. He ied in office of internal injuries after a fall from his horse.
