  "Little Joe" Blue, a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, moved to Tallulah, Louisiana as a child. It was here that he developed a love of music and learned to play guitar. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he settled in Detroit, Michigan where he briefly worked with a band known as the "Midnighters." He moved to Los Angeles, California in the mid 1960's and recorded for the Checker Record label.
