García Morato, Joaquín b. May 4, 1904 d. April 4, 1939 Spanish Civil War Fighting Ace. At the end of the war he was Chief of Operations of the Nationalist Fighting Force. His log book showed 1,012 hours flown in 511 missions, with 144 aerial combats and 40 aircrafts shot down (confirmed.) Three days after the end of the war, during an exhibition, crashed his aircraft losing his life.
