Drayton, Paul b. May 8, 1939 d. March 2, 2010 Olympic Athlete. Born Otis Paul Drayton he was raised in Cleveland, graduating from Cathedral Latin High School where he excelled as a sprinter. He continued his athletic accomplishments at Villanova University, and was a member of the United States relay team which set a world record of 39.1 seconds in the 4x100 meter event held in Moscow during 1961. Purifoy, Noah b. August 17, 1917 d. March 5, 2004 Artist. He was renowned for his large and sprawling assemblage sculptures, which were artful combinations of bicycle wheels, bowling balls, train tracks, old refrigerators and rubble. Most of them were assembled at his ranch in Joshua Tree, California, which became an open-air studio, gallery and museum. His best known work was called "66 Signs of Neon," which was a traveling exhibition of sculptures made from 3 tons of the rubble from the 1965 Watts riots. Quinn, Paul J. b. January 19, 1947 d. April 22, 2004 Irish Folk Singer. Known as 'The Mighty Quinn,' he is best known for his recording of the song, "This Is Your City."
