Anderson, John Thompson McKellar b. January 12, 1918 d. October 5, 1943 World War II Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in London, England, he served as a Major in the 8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherlands highlanders, British Army. On April 23, 1943, in actions at Longstop Hill, Tunisia, Major Anderson assumed command of the battalion when his commanding officer was killed.
