Randle, Capt. John Neil b. December 22, 1917 d. May 6, 1944 World War II Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in Varanasi, India, he served as a Captain in the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Norfolk Regiment, British Army. On May 6, 1944, Captain Randle led an attack on a heavily defended bunker at Kohima Assam, India. The whole company was pushed back, but Captain Randle stormed forward on his own toward the enemy position.
