Valdemar I the Great b. January 14, 1131 d. May 12, 1182 King of Denmark 1154-1182. Valdemar I was the grandchild of King Erik I of Denmark. His parents were Duke Sct. Knud Lavard and Duchess Ingeborg of Russia.
