Born in Seaford, Sussex, he served as a Captain the 1st Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, British Army. Helles Memorial [memorial] Monument. The Helles Memorial is a World War I tribute to the Gallipoli Campaign and to men who fell in that campaign and whose graves are unknown or who were lost or buried at sea in Gallipoli.
