Kröyer, Marie b. June 11, 1867 d. May 25, 1940 Noted Artist. Marie Triepcke grew up in Denmark. She wanted to be a painter and studied at art school. In 1889 she married Severin Kröyer. Severin Kröyer was a famous painter with a large circle of friends and wanted to live in grand style. He and Marie spent the winters in Copenhagen and the summers in Skagen. Lindström, Rune b. April 28, 1916 d. April 25, 1973 Actor, Playwright, Author. Rune Lindström has written three popular plays performed in Dalecarlia in the summers: "Himlaspelet" ("The play of heaven") played in Leksand every summer since 1949, "Skinnarspelet" ("The play of the skinners") and "Ingmarssönerna" based on the novel "Jerusalem" by Selma Lagerlöf. Söderlundh, Lillebror b. May 21, 1912 d. August 23, 1957 Swedish Composer and Troubadour. He made his mark in Swedish music history, by composing some of Sweden´s most beloved songs, with lyrics by poets Nils Ferlin and Ture Nerman. He composed instrumental as well as choire-music and is also noted for ”Himlaspelet” a play by Rune Lindström, annually performed in the town of Leksand, Dalarna.
