Reynolds, Maj. Douglas b. September 20, 1882 d. February 23, 1916 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in Clifton, Bristol, he served as a Captain in the 37th Royal Field Artillery, British Army. On August 26, 1914, in actions at Le Cateau, France, Captain Reynolds took two teams with volunteer drivers, to recapture two British guns under heavy German artillery and infantry fire.
