Harris, Thomas James b. January 30, 1892 d. August 19, 1918 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in Hailing, Kent, he served as a Sergeant in the 6th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, British Army. On August 9,1918, during an attack at Morlancourt, France, Sergeant Harris led his section against hostile machine guns concealed in crops and shell-holes.
