Anderson, Chapman Levy b. March 15, 1845 d. April 27, 1924 US Congressman. A native of Macon, Mississippi, he served with the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. He was elected as a Democrat to represent Mississippi's 5th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1887 to 1891. He was also a Member of the Mississippi State House of Representatives from 1879 to 1880, and was US District Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi from 1896 to 1897. Niles, Jason Adams b. December 19, 1814 d. July 7, 1894 US Congressman. He was a native of Burlington, Vermont, where he received his education, graduating from the University of Vermont. His chosen profession was teaching, but after settling in Attala County, Mississippi, he became a lawyer. He was active in local and state politics for over 40 years. From 1871 to 1872 he was circuit judge for the thirteenth judicial district. In 1872 he was elected to the Forty-third Congress and served one term, 1873 to 1875.
