Celibidache, Sergiu b. June 28, 1912 d. August 15, 1996 Rumanian Orchestra Conductor and Composer. He studied Philosophy and Mathematics at the University of Bucharest and in 1936 he went to Berlin. After completing his studies, he worked with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra because the orchestra's previous conductor, Wilhelm Furtwangler, was suspected of collaboration.
